2015 The disaster and the second life of 'Vake'

The June 13 disaster greatly damaged us. The 'Vake' factory was completely flooded, but we managed to get back on feet and soon continued releasing Georgian’s most favorite meat products.

2014 'Vake' Rebranding

In 2014 we renovated the company's logo and renewed packing of favorite meat products. We changed the corporate style and the interior of our stores. Our slogan, the quality tradition, was shown through visual side.

2010 Shops Network

In 2010 we had a lot of novelties: Distribution service started working. Improving the new technology of ham-grade sausage, through which we were able to increase the assortment of sausage products.

However, the most important was the creation of a shop network in Tbilisi.

2006 New products

'Vake' is constantly trying to develop and introduce new technologies and increase the range of products. In 2006, our plant was visited by Austrian Technologist George Gubber, who trained company staff.

As a result of training, we created smoked sausage ‘Kabanos’ and dry sausage Kraków-style.

1998 First Shop

In 1998 we opened our first Meat Specialties store.

1997 Quality control laboratory

We care about our customers. That's why we have arranged a special laboratory in the factory that provides quality control of meat products.

1996 New 'outfit' for 'Vake sausages'

In 1996, we introduced a new standard of packaging, by which the expiration time of sausages was prolonged.

We packaged our production according to the European quality standards that was first precedent of branded packaging in Georgia. Georgian-English inscription – 'Meat Product Factory – Vake' was made on sausages’ transparent plastic packaging.

1992 From workshop to factory

This year is very important for us. In a very difficult period, our workshop was established as an independent unit and it was named simply as Sausage Factory.

1990 Rapid increase in assortment

The new 7 products, which everyone loves today, were created this year. These are: sausage "Iveria", “Sardeli”, “Kupati”, „Doctor’s” sausage, sausage "Sachaye" and „Moskow" sausage. The capacity of the plant reached 17 tons per month.

1976 Birth of sausage

There are many important events in the history of Georgia. Among them is the birth of the everyone’s favorite sausage 'Iveria'. The legendary sausage was first tasted in 1976, it was produced in our factory.

This year we also released 'Kids' sausage, which everybody remembers from school buffets.

1973 Furnace oven

In 1973, we installed a unique stainless furnace in the workshop, which gives us unique taste of our meat products. The analog of this furnace can be found only in several meat factories of the world.

1968 smoked sausage

Smoked sausage - it was a new product made exclusively for the 40th anniversary of the Soviet Union foundation. It differed with visual, caloric value and taste from the rest of the products.

1964 year of new technologies

Our workshop has always strived to use modern technologies. In 1964, we developed a system of automatic processing system of waste products recycling, which increased the volume of production.

1961 First workshop

In 1961, everyone talked about this. No, it was not the first flight of human in space, but it was the year when the first  sausage factory was opened in Tbilisi.
